Herman Ruchhoeft, age 85, a 10 month resident of the Manitowoc Health Care
Center, formerly of 3706 Gass Lake Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon,
September 26, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 29, 1995, at Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Alverno.
Officiating at the Mass of Christian burial will be Rev. William Zimmer with
burial to follow in the parish cemetery. He was born December 2, 1909, in
Manitowoc, son of the late Herman and Mary Trost Ruchhoeft. Herman was employed
with A.F. Smith and Son Feed Mill for over 30 years, retiring in 1975. He was a
member of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Alverno.
Survivors include two sisters, Marie Felber and Viola Blashka, both of Manitowoc.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was
also preceded in death by three sisters, Erna Nemetz, Pauline Stueber and Eleanor
Schaus; three brothers, Herbert, Alfred and Ervin Ruchhoeft.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. Thursday
where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Rev. William Zimmer.
