FLORENCE -- Funeral Services for Vivian Hewitt Blattner Burleson, 90, will be 11:00AM Tuesday May 13, 2003 in the Cain Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rudy Pace, Rev. Chris Handley and Mr. Tom Kellam will officiate. Interment will follow in Hewitt Cemetery. The family will be at the daughter's residence.
Mrs. Burleson died Sunday, May 11, 2003 in a local hospital. Born June 2, 1912, in Florence Co., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Duffy McLaughlin Hewitt. She was the widow of Fred Blattner and Curtis R. Burleson.
She was attended Florence public schools and was a graduate of Pineland Junior College. Mrs. Burleson was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Davis Bible Class. She was also a member of VFW Post 3181 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter; Melle (Bill) Sensibaugh of Florence, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters; Motie (Guy) Blankenship, Hazel (Dan) Boone, Mamie (M.Sommers) Gross, Vermelle (John Mac) McLaughlin, and Catherine (John) Temple and five brothers; Dudley (Dora) Hewitt, Freddie (Hallie) Hewitt, Manning (Annie Bell) Hewitt, Ragsdale (Venarah) Hewitt and Roland (Nell) Hewitt
Funeral services are being directed by Cain Funeral Home.
