She was the daughter of the late Charles Eber and Helen Livinia Carper Gipe. She is survived by her husband Raymond (Jake) Duncan, Jr; two daughters, Susan M. (Mrs Melvin Herr)of Chambersburg and Cindy L (Mrs Ben Park)of Shippensburg; two granddaughters and one grandson, one brother Richard E Gipe of Newburg, eight sisters, Doris Heberling of Chambersburg, Betty Exline of Hancock, MD, Shirley Lindsay of Shippensburg, Helen Miller of Mechanicsburg, Patricia Craig of Shippensburg, Josephine Henry of Landisburg, Connie Gipe of Carlisle and Viola Rafter of Chester, MD and one aunt, Betty Rhinehart of Carlisle. She is preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. JoAnn was retired from the Beistle Company, Shippensburg, where she worked for 39 years.
