Last Rites Are Held For Mrs. Thompson

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Ethel Thompson, 75, the widow of Will E. Thompson, were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the First Methodist Church at Windom. The Rev. Milford Thompson, pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery at Honey Grove.

Pallbearers were Choice Moore, John Bomar, Fred Williams, Henry Yarbrough, Leeman Riddles, and Arthur Self.

She died at her home in Windom, Wednesday, March 9, 1960, following an extended illness.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Melvin Curtis of Bonham, Mrs. Clint Little of Windom and Mrs. Raymond Cooper of Corsicana; three brothers, Will, Alpha, and A. R. Denison, all of Honey Grove; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Hindman of Buffalo, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson, the former Miss Mattie Ethel Denison, was born March 30, 1884, in Fannin County.

Her husband, Will E. Thompson, preceded her in death in 1940.
