SPANGLER, Charles E., Chief Warrant Officer 4 U.S. Army (Ret.), 73, passed on March 20, 2013. He was born in Bristol, Tenn. and served in the U.S. Army for 21 years earning many decorations and medals during his military career. While in the Army he was a pilot for eighteen years and a member of the Golden Knights for two years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles Hubert Spangler and Eula Lee Spangler. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine; son, Charles Spangler Jr.; daughters, Lisa Fahl and Maria Galloway; sister, Martha Ann Buck; seven grandchildren, Brandy Adams, Aubrey Charles, Mikell Coleman II, Lisa Zinn, Dakota Zinn, Chais Fahl, Kelsey Galloway; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at Stowers Funeral Home. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery.
