Geraldine (Jerry) Jo Strome Harper
Geraldine Harper passed away April 1st 2013 at RiverBend Hospital. Jerry was born July 15, 1931 to Gillis and Lela Strome. Jerry grew up on her parent's farm on Hulbert Lake Road and married Ray Harper December 6th 1953. She lived her entire life in the Junction City area.
Jerry graduated from Junction City High School.
Jerry loved to sew, quilt, decorate cakes, spend time with family, camp, fish, collect antiques and help others.
Survivors include her husband, Ray of 59 years; daughter, Kathleen McPherson and husband Morgan of Glendora, California; son, Terry Harper and wife Debra of Heppner, Oregon; Grandsons, John McPherson and Curtis Harper; sisters: Jean Purkerson, Connie Bradley and Melba Durrant. She was preceded in death by her parents Gillis and Lela Strome.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Christian Church, 1250 Nyssa St., Junction City on April 20th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Junction City Historical Society.
