MRs. PAUL VAUTHEROT DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS
Edith, wife of Paul Vautherot, passed away at their home on the east aide at an early hour Monday morning, after suffering ill health for over a year. The funeral was held from the home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Walter Knapp, of Venice township, officiating, and burial was made in the Wilkinson cemetery, Venice township, Shiawassee county.
Edith G. Hoten was born In Chesaning, August 25, 1885, and when a young woman of 24 years, was united in marriage to Paul E. Vautherot. Following their marriage they resided in Hazelton, coming to Chesaning In the spring of 1914, where all of Mrs. Vautherot'. life has been spent except less than five years following her marriage. She was a woman of great ambition, and leaves many friends who sincerely sorrow at her early demise, always a great worker, and .a good neighbor. She is survived by her husband and nine year old daughter Mildred; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hoten; a brother, Vernie L. Hoten, of Chesaning; and two sisters, Miss Rosa Hoten, of Brighton, and Mrs. S. L Bill, of Lansing.
