ALBERT I. PLETCHER 54, of Lindenhurst, Long Island, N.Y., formerly of Altoona, died at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 1980, in the Brunswick General Hospital, Amityville, Long Island, after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 24, 1925, in Altoona, the son of Albert and Emma Pletcher. Surviving are his wife. Louise; two children, Jacqueline and Scott, at home; his mother of Altoona and a brother and five sisters. Mrs. Goldie Wilsey of Linden, Mich.; Mrs. Elsie Yon of Altoona, Mrs. Genevieve Holtzhauer of Joliet, Ill.: Mrs. Vera Boggs of East Freedom, Mrs. Patricia Decowski of Woodbridge, Va., and Paul E. of Bellwood. Mr. Pletcher was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He served in the Naval Air Force during World War II. Interment was made in Long Island.Altoona Mirror, April 25, 1980
