"Dalton Penberthy Marpole ("Dot") died aged 28 in 1908 in a fire which burnt his home in the Nicola valley. He had grown up in Kamloops, the son of Richard Marpole, Superintendent of the CPR. (Richard, his father, took part in the chase of Bill Miner, infamous train robber, in 1906) Dot had married Katie Newland in 1904. Burial in this cemetery as late as 1908 would seem to indicate that some other member of the family lies here, but no other headstone survives."
From the Kamloops Museum Archives

Nothing is known of Harry Marpole - perhaps he was the infant son of Dalton's, also killed in the fire.
