Permelia (Pamela on the stone) Oakes, daughter of Jonathan and Abigail Rand Oaks was baptized 11 Sept. 1768. Permelia married Sherebiah Lambert, Jr. (int. 20 July 1787, Canaan, ME). Sherebiah and Permelia had 10 Children and Permelia was acknowledged as a local Midwife who is believed to have delivered over 1400 babies in her lifetime.
