Jeanette Strong Hood, 86, of Beaumont, Texas, departed this world February 4, 2013. She was born January 23, 1927 in Crosby, Ms. to Oren and Lexene Strong. She graduated Crosby High School as valedictorian, and attended Co-Lin Junior College. She married John A. Hood of Gloster,Ms. April 12, 1947, and moved to Jackson, Ms. She worked as a legal Secretary in Jackson for J. Will Young for 20 Years. Jeanette and Johnny and family relocated to Beaumont, Texas in August 1966. Jeanette continued her career as a legal secretary with Organ, Bell and Tucker for 20 years. Jeanette and her family were long time members of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Oren and Lexene Strong., her brother Byford Strong, and her husband John Hood. She is survived by her son: Rusty Hood and his wife Sara, 2 Daughters: Patty Hood and Jeannie Hood. Grandchildren: Erin Arnold and husband Jim Bob, Luke Calvert and wife Caithyn, Thomas and Stacee Primeaux, and Ann Primeaux. Beth Hood, Mark Hood, John Hood, and Anna Hood. Great-Grandchildren: Piper and Will Arnold, and Jacob Primeaux. Brothers: Lavon and wife Ann Strong, Raiford and Nelda Strong, Billy and Carolyn Strong, David and Debra Strong. And Sister-in-law: Murl Poole Strong. Funeral Services were Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster, Miss. Officiated by Rev.Greg Beaty. Interment was in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.
