Marjorie A. Blake, 81, of Warren, IN., formerly of Muncie, IN., passed away at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on Friday, September 18, 1931, in Lynn, IN. She married Dr. Floyd Blake on Sunday, June 04, 1950 in Upland, Indiana in the Upland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blake was the wife of a United Methodist Pastor, where she served every church as a partner side by side with her husband. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for junior high school students. Mrs. Blake was a 1949 graduate of Ann Arbor high school in Ann Arbor, MI and a 1979 graduate of I.U.-Kokomo, where she received her Nursing degree. She retired as an RN from Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie and formerly worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Mrs. Blake was a prolific reader; she traveled to all 50 states and parts of Europe. Her and her husband Floyd went on many mission trips, serving in South Texas and at the African University in Mutare, Zimbabwe. She was always a willing hostess for anything related to the dealings of the church. Mrs. Blake enjoyed sewing and baking, especially baking cookies. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
