ABRAHAM, Arthur Chester was born on November 29, 1892 at Otisco, Waseca County, Minnesota, the son of Gustav Julius Abraham and Henrietta Wilhelmina Draheim. He attended North Western College in Naperville, graduating in 1917 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He served on the Board of Directors and as Editor of the school newspaper. During World War I he was employed in the government laboratories at Astoria, Long Island, New York. He married Eleanor Sarah Hohaus in June of 1921. They had two children, Marjorie Eleanor (Schwalter) and James R. Abraham. He taught high school in Vermillion, South Dakota, Montana and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and later worked as a life insurance agent in Milwaukee. During World War II he was employed by the Allis Chalmers Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was raised a Master Mason March 31, 1922 in Euclid Lodge No. 65, A.F. & A.M., Naperville, Illinois. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Shrine and Order of Eastern Star. He died June 11, 1968 in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin and was buried in the Wisconsin Memorial Park cemetery, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
