Mother Abbie J. Taylor, 91, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009, peacefully in her home. Abbie retired from St. Vincent Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon George Taylor; both parents; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers. Abbie was a faithful member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for over 62 years serving in the Adult Choir, Sunday School, Mother's Board, and Senior Mission. Abbie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Osie Lee Meredith; sisters, Mary Stokes and Maggie Kemp; grandsons, Charles, Rev. Dennis (Lydia) of Atlanta, Georgia, Rev. Gregory Meredith, and Delta Meredith of Toledo, Ohio and Benny Seany of Toledo, Ohio; 21 great-grandchildren; 19 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the care and kindness given to our loved one. Wake Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, March 5, 2009 with Funeral Services to follow at 1 p.m. from Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 702 Collingwood Blvd. Pastor Floyd Smith Jr., Officiant. Reverend Dennis Meredith, Eulogist. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
