"MOTHER MARGARET BANEY
'Fell on Sleep' on the evening of October 26th at 5:30 o'clock at her home, 106 1/2 Bellefonte Ave. The angel reaper came to her while she was sitting in her chair. She had been a sufferer for some years from asthma, and this with other complications caused her death. She was born in Union County November 14th 1830 and hence had reached the good age of 78 years, 11 months and 12 days.

She has been a member of the Lutheran Church for many years and of St. John's Church for almost four years. For some years she has not been able to attend church on account of her afflictions. She always enjoyed the visits of her pastor and looked forward with special pleasure to the .... of his broken body and shed blood. She more than once told her pastor that she was prepared to meet the Saviour and longed to go to her heavenly home. She possessed that faith that helped her to look with childlike confidence to her blessed Redeemer. We feel that she has gone to recieve her crown.

She is survived by one son, C. B. F. BANEY, of this city, and four daughters, Joanna GRENOBEL, of Madisonburg, Mrs. Rachael WILLIAMS, of this city, Mrs. Lucy COLE, of Mill Hall, and Miss Catharine at home. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. All have the sympathy of their friends in the affliction that has come to them. The daughter Catharine, who so lovingly, tenderly and faithfully ministered to her mother for so many years deserves the sympathy and prayers of all because of her own affliction and the loss of her mother.

The funeral services were held in the afternoon of October 28th and were in charge of Rev. Jacob DIEHL.
The body was laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery to await the resurrection call."
