Amos J. Johnson, 80, of Sapulpa, died Sunday at Glenpool Health Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at North Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. W.C. Hamilton officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was born March 24, 1911, in McIntosh County. He moved to Sapulpa from Okmulgee 38 years ago. He was a retired machinist for Fintube Corporation and a member of North Heights Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Floria Johnson, on June 16, 1991.

Survivors include sons Leo Johnson of Sapulpa, Rodory Johnson of Antlers, Loyd Johnson of Sand Springs and Alford Johnson of Prue; daughters Ruth Johnson and Tulsa, Barbara May of Sapulpa, Vicki Kinsey of Kellyville and Katherine Hilburn of McAlester; brother Velvee (Dutch) Johnson of Pawhuska; sister Mollie Jones of Tulsa; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will headquarter at the Loyd Johnson residence, 212 W. 38th, in Prattville.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Roger Johnson, Jim Pollard, Ernest Pollard, Robert Fisher, Jerry Smith and Robert Moss.
