Graveside services for Mrs. Louise Wilkes Lewis will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday April 13, 2013, at New Hope ARP Cemetery conducted by Reverend Will McBrayer. A visitation for Mrs. Lewis will be held on Friday April, 12, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pope Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lewis died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Born in Winnsboro, South Carolina, October 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Robert Wilkes and Irene Douglas. She was the widow of Ephrian Paul Lewis and was preceded in death by her son John Henry Lewis; six brothers, Earl Wilkes, Faye Wilkes, Thomas Wilkes, Leslie Wilkes, Robert Wilkes, and Gene Wilkes. Mrs. Lewis was known as a lady with a quiet gentle spirit and also was a member of quilting club.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of New Hope ARP Church and was a circle member and Sunday school teacher. Survivors include three sons, William Lewis (Nancy) of Blackstock, Tony Lewis of Kentucky, and Allan Lewis (Capri) of Ridgeway; three sisters Georgie Branham, Lillian Rhymer, and Essie Swearingen all of Winnsboro; ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
