Ocala – Carrie Dean Wright, 86, entered into heaven, Wednesday, April 10, 2013. She was born in Blackford, Kentucky to Laura Jane Holmes and Jobe B. Edens. Carrie spent much of her life as a cook at the Williams Country Club in Weirton, WV and being a wife and mother. She was a lifelong Rebecca in the Colliers, WV Lodge and lived in Follansbee, WV; Okeechobee, FL and most recently a resident at Hawthorne Village in Ocala. She was a member of Ocala Christian Church. Her parents and two sons, Charles Wright, Follansbee, WV and infant Robert Wright preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James D. Wright; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Linda, Ocala, Donnie and Ilse, Newport News, VA; seven grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Frances Joyce, VA, Gertie Mae Wolfe, Okeechobee, FL; brother, Jobe Edens, Jr., Monson, MA and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday , April 14, 2013 from 4 – 6 PM in the chapel of the funeral home,with funeral service immediately following the visitation at 6PM with Pastor Rick Phillips officiating at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Florida.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James D.
