Woodrow Wilson Grant, 69, of Winchester, a retired merchant, died Sunday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.
He owned and operated The Men's Shop on the Courthouse Square in Winchester for a number of years, and also owned City Cafe in Winchester.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
A Franklin County native, he was born September 2, 1912. He was married to the former Ruby Gipson of Decherd, a retired Franklin County teacher, and was the son of the late George W. and Sallie Hamilton Grant.
Services were today at Watson-Gamble Funeral Home. The Rev. Erwin Gaines officiated. Burial was in Mt. Garner Cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. John Hansen, of Winchester; a brother, G. W. Grant, Winchester; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Sawyer, Lynchburg, and Mrs. Kay Bates, Tullahoma; and two grandchildren, Missy and Chris Hansen.
