Norma B. Hubbard, 91, rural Nebo, died Friday Dec. 7, 2007, at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. She was born in the family home at the top of Grimes Hill in rural Nebo Aug. 31, 1916, to Walter C. and Laura E. Guthrie Grimes. Norma married Frank Hubbard Dec. 25, 1936 in Pittsfield & Frank died Jan. 4, 1964. She was a homemaker & operated a beauty salon in Nebo & out of her home for many years. She enjoyed working in her yard & growing all types of flowers, especially sunflowers. Norma was a member of the former Order of the Eastern Star in Pleasant Hill, & the Daughters of the American Revolution in Pittsfield & was a long time member of the Nebo Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and a son, Victor M. Hubbard. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nebo Baptist Church conducted by Bro. Robert Kean. Burial was in Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
