Addison was the son of Nathan and Phoebe Granger Beckwith. He had two older brothers, Augustus, and Appleton. His older sister died as a week old infant. Her name is unknown to me. Addison's youngest sister was Caroline and his youngest brother was Francis.
Addison married Ruth Goss on Aug 3, 1856 in Lawrence, Van Buren Co., Michigan. They had three children that I know of. They are:
1. Austin Ormond Beckwith
2. Emma Eliza Beckwith
3. Sarah Mae Beckwith
