Alfred Cookman Morgan was born on January 19, 1876 in Seaford, Delaware, the only child of Isaac Jefferson Morgan (1851-1935) and his 1st wife Rajinie "Janie" (Cannon) Morgan (1849-1876).

He graduated from Cornell University, and he was married to Stella Rocelia Thayer (1879-1961) on December 15, 1906 in Brooklyn, New York.

An entomologist at the US Exp. Station, he passed away on July 28, 1931 in Clarksville, Tennessee and was buried on July 31st in Greenwood Cemetery.
