Born Sweden, immigrated with her mother and two siblings about 1882--a sister, Celia, and a brother, Hans. Married John Jenkins in 1893. Margaret died of complications resulting from the birth of her fourth, Beatrice, born in 1909. Apparently the birth had to be assisted with forceps, and the forceps slipped and punched a hole in the mother's bladder. The doctor seared the puncture with a hot iron--the standard medical procedure in those days--but the treatment was not effective. The ensuing complications in a few years proved fatal, and Margaret passed away in 1916, at the age of forty.
In her later years, the family resided in Iowa Township, Lincoln Co. OK. Her mother and her adoptive father are also buried in Olivet Cem.
