Sara Frances VanArsdale Jamison, 89, died Wednesday, the 10th day of April, 2013. A native of Bagdad in Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late William Freeman and Mary Francis Rodgers VanArsdale, and the widow of Ernest Jamison. She was a member of the Bagdad Baptist Church. A dedicated homemaker, she was also a child care provider for over twenty years. Her favorite pastimes included sewing and reading. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Carol Jamison Spaulding; her grandson, Jason Wilder; and her brothers, William "Billy" VanArsdale, Robert "Bobby" VanArsdale, and John "Jack" VanArsdale.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Jamison Wilder, and her husband, Bill, of Shelbyville; and her grandchildren, Anthony Wilder of Louisville, John Kephart of Taylorsville, and Christina Kephart-Bird of Clear Creek, Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, the 13th day of April, 2013, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville, with Reverend Kyle Wiley officiating. Interment will be in the Bagdad Cemetery at Bagdad, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M., until 1:00 P.M., Saturday, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus or the Jason Wilder Memorial Scholarship Fund at Western Kentucky University, 1906 College Heights Boulevard, No. 41016, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101-1016.
