JACKIE "JACK" RAY FRENCH- 74 of Rutledge, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at Tennova Physicians Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Renfro Construction and Cloud 9 Concrete Enterprise. He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by parents, Viva and William H. French; brothers, Warren Payne and William Ferrell. He is survived by wife, Doris French of Rutledge; daughters, Yvonne (Greg) White of Moss, TN and Deborah (Steve) Hixon of Rutledge, TN; sons, Timothy (Connie) French of Knox County and Joseph (Connie) French of Strawberry Plains; granddaughters, Caitlyn French and Haley Evans; grandsons, Chris and Nick Moore; sisters, Mildred (Junior) Crouse of Falls Mills, VA and Margaret (Clinton) Carroll of Springville, VA; sister in law, Peggy Ferrell of North Carolina; brother in law, William "Bill" Blair of Rutledge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 at Fielden Chapel with Rev. Stacey Lawson officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. prior to the service at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
