She was born May 16, 1935, in Rices Landing, a daughter of Irvin T. Sr. and Clara Hostetler Yoders.
Mrs. Blaker worked in various positions and retired as a licensed practical nurse from Greene County Memorial Hospital with 30 years of service.
She served her country as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957.
Mrs. Blaker was a member of First Baptist Church of Carmichaels, where was in the choir, was a member of WOM and enjoyed helping with various church activities.
On August 17, 1963, she married Ralph E. Blaker, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lori Webster of Arden, N.C., and Lisa Mitchell of Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; a son, Mark Blaker of Dilliner; six grandchildren, Kristie Tramel, Michael Bizub, Kaitlin and Garrett Mitchell and Emily and Madison Blaker; a great-granddaughter; three sisters, Joan Fuller and Carol Blaker, both of Carmichaels, and Emma Lou Schubert of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Lt. Donald E. Yoders and Irvin T. Yoders Jr.
BLAKER – Friends of Dolores J. Blaker of Carmichaels, who died Sunday, March 14, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, and from 10 until 11 a.m., the hour of services, Thursday, March 18, in First Baptist Church, Carmichaels, with the Rev. Kenneth Summers officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491.
