Myron Barber Johnson was born in Candor NY to Irvine Leroy Johnson and Harriet "Hattie" Emma Gibbons. He was the sixth of seven children. Myron was born a twin and his twin brother died a couple weeks after birth due to consumption. His father Irvine died when he was 9 so he left school and went to work full time on his family farm. Myron had 2 brothers and 5 sisters though he was the only male child to reach adulthood. their names From oldest to youngest were 1.Merritt Samuel Johnson, 2. Myrtie Lena Johnson, 3.Bertha Elizabeth Johnson, 4.Stella May Johnson, 5. Minnie Viola Johnson,6. Marion Leroy Johnson. Myron met a woman named Myrina Belle "Myrna" Strait and got married on March 6 1924 in Candor NY. They had their only child together on June 28 1930. They named him Kenneth Myron Johnson. Myron lost his mother Hattie in 1950, he lost his wife in 1946 and then he lost his son Kenneth in a car accident in 1958. He remarried. in 1959. He married his nephew's Ex Wife Pauline Evelyn Dingy. they were married on December 15 1959 and became a Step Father to Pauline's Two Children, Beverly Rose Russell and Irvine Deforest Russell. His second son Frederick Myron Johnson was born on December 29 1959. Due to his family home being in disrepair, he sold the house and farm his family owned from 1870 in Jun 1960 and moved to Brooktondale with his wife, son, step son and step daughter.
He started working at the pocketbook factory in Ithaca NY and retired there in 1968. On December 23 1969, he woke up and went outside to go to the restroom in an old outhouse and his son Fred found him in there incoherent. He had a major stroke. He was taken to Tompkins County Hospital in Ithaca and died there December 28 1969
