Hurley "Bob" Turman, 90, of Willis, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Turman was born October 31, 1921 in Carroll County to the late Floyd Jefferson (Jeff) and Cova Nester Turman. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Nova Spence Turman. Mr. Turman was an Army Veteran and served during World War II.
Survivors include
daughter Bobbie Ann Turman of Hillsville;
son and daughter-in-law Dulin (Dude) and Margaret Turman of Willis;
granddaughters and spouse Tammy Turman and Sheri and Drew Killon; and sister Stella Williams of Hillsville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Danny Phillips officiating.
Burial will follow in the Turman and Cruise Cemetery on Brannon Road in Willis.
Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
