Conley B. Strong, Jr. was born February 7,1949 in Hamilton, OH and departed this life Sunday, September 7,1997, being 48 years of age. He was the son of the late Conley B. Strong, Sr. and the late Betty Quick Strong. He was the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Quick of Hamilton, OH and the late Willie H. Strong, Sr. and Liza Bowles Strong of Green Hall, KY, with whom he spent much of his life.
He is survived by one sister: Donna Jo Strong Ringer of New Orleans, Louisana; one brother, Martin Dean Strong of Alma, Wisconsin; his paternal grandmother, Liza Bowies Strong of Green Hall, KY; two nieces, one nephew and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by both parents; his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Quick of Hamilton, OH and by his paternal grandfather, Willie H. Strong, Sr. of Green Hall, KY. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, September 13, 1997 at 11 am at the Strong Cemetery in Owsley County near Green Hall with Bro. Parkey Allen officiating. Pallbearers were friends of the family.
Lakes Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
