He was born Feb. 13, 1934, in the town of Schleswig, the son of the late
Herbert Sr. and Stella (Bebermeier) Vogel. Herb attended Rockville Grade
School and Kiel High School. From 1957 to 1958, Herb served his country
in the U.S. Army.
On March 1, 1996, Herb married the former Lynn Luedke at Louis Corners. For
many years Herb was a truck driver for Packerland Packing of Green Bay. After
his retirement, he remained active driving truck part time for Bob Miller
Trucking. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, and raising rabbits and
pigeons.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Lynn Vogel.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Meiselwitz-
Vollstedt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mercer officiating. Friends may call
at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to the time of services on Wednesday. Burial
will be in the Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville.
Herb's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses and
staff of St. Nicholas Hospice and Comfort Keepers Home Nursing for the wonderful
care given to Herb and the kindness shown to them.
