James D. REID(1837--1876)(40y) m. Permelia J.(WILLIAMS) on 07 Nov 1853 at Lincoln Co. Tennessee. They migrated to Anderson Co. Texas in the Ioni/Denson Springs area & bought a farm in 1857. Two children, May J. REID(1854-1872) & Frances "Niecy" REID(1857-1931) were born in Lincoln Co. TN. The rest of the children were born in Anderson Co. When the Civil War started, James enlisted in the C.S.A.(Confederate States Army) out of Cherokee Co.
TX as a Teamster in Company C, 18th Reg., Texas Infantry under Captain Bonner(also known as Ochiltree's Reg)
