Mrs. Gibson was born February 16, 1945 in Halifax County to the late Herman Johnson and Florence Johnson Fisher.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, who always thought highly of her family.
She loved plastic canvas work, fishing and John Wayne.
Mrs. Gibson is survived her sister, Lena Ricks of Littleton, her son: Cleve Gibson and Sheri Gibson of Roanoke Rapids; three daughters: Lois Aydlett and her fiancé Joe Beasley, Linda Byrum and her husband Thellie and Susan Gibson and her fiancé Albert Morris all of Roanoke Rapids; her former husband Jack Gibson, Sr. of Roanoke Rapids, and special friends Kathy Williams and Annie Whitaker of Roanoke Rapids; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three nephews.
