Michael I. Adams Jr., 69, husband of Laura Butler Adams, Hanover, died Friday at 10:05 p.m. at the Hanover Hospital shortly after admission He retired five years ago from Autocraft Box Corporation, Hanover.

A son of the late Michael and Mary Horwedel Adams, he was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church. Surviving besides his widow are nine children, Mrs. Robert Hoover, Hanover R. 5; Joseph M. Adams, Hanover; Mrs Norman Goodermuth, Gettysburg; Mrs. Joseph Brendle, Hanover; Robert F. Adams, New Oxford R. 2; Mrs. Fred Sentz, Littlestown; John B. Adams, William Henry Adams and Michael Leroy Adams, all of Hanover; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Miss Margaret Adams, McSherrystown.

Funeral services Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. with prayers at the Bucher Funeral Home, Hanover, followed by a Requiem Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Vincent's Church, Hanover. His pastor, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Maher, will be celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
