Services for Luella Jane "Sweetie" Conwright, 91, of Slaton will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Slaton with the Rev. Randy McCarty and the Rev. Leo McCarty officiating.

Burial will be in Englewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Slaton under the direction of McCarty Funeral Home of Slaton.

She died Wednesday, June 5, 2002.

She was born June 14, 1910, in Harrison County. She married the Rev. Freddie D. Conwright on Dec. 10, 1933, in Ore City. He died June 23, 1989. She attended school in Harrison County, and also lived in Arthur City, Littlefield, Crosbyton and Floydada and moved to Slaton in 1967.

She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church of Slaton and also a member of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker.

Four children preceded her in death, John D., Emma Lee, Helen Ruth and Obie "Sonny."

Survivors include seven daughters, Mary Conwright, Mattie Harris and Vivian JaNette Cage, all of Lubbock, Ruth "Mookie" Dockins, Norma Jean Johnson and Retha Williams, all of Paris, Texas, and Loretta Bolden of Dallas; three sons, Robert and Samuel, both of Dallas, and James of Lubbock; 63 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
