Tammy Carlene Spencer, 53, of Gentry, Ark., died on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. She was born on Aug. 20, 1959, in Hominy, Okla., to Orvan Spencer and Fern Tilley.

She was raised and educated in Oklahoma and graduated from Missouri Southern State University of Joplin, Mo. She was the food service director for the Gravette Arkansas Schools and a substitute teacher. She enjoyed reading and cooking.

She is survived by her companion, De Huynh of Sulphur Springs, Ark.; brother, James Spencer and his wife, Crizabeth, of the Philippines; and two sisters, Cathy Gaines and her husband, Stanford, of Hominy, Okla., Debbie Slead and her husband, Steven, of Hominy, Okla.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Gravette, Ark.

Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, Bella Vista, Ark.
