Mr. J. Abner Britt Claimed by Death – Funeral From Home in Hog Swamp Section Tuesday at 10 A.M.

Mr. J. Abner Britt, 45, died in a Lumberton hospital last night at midnight from endocarditis following a long illness with pneumonia. Funeral services will be conducted from his home in the Hog Swamp section near Fairmont Tuesday at 10 a.m. by Rev. E.A. Paul, and interment will be made in the Lamb cemetery near there.

Mr. Britt was brought to the hospital here on March 4, critically ill. Next day his daughter, Wilma, aged 14, died of pneumonia. Although he had a very stubborn case of pneumonia, this cleared up several days ago, and Mr. Britt was expecting to return home soon. Last week heart trouble set in in the form of chills, and his condition had grown worse since that time.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Pink Britt of the Hog Swamp section; 3 children, Yates and Horace of the homestead and an infant son who is living with relatives; 2 brothers, Mr. Clem of the Hog Swamp section and Mr. Theiry of Pembroke.
