(Marion) Forty-seven year old Tracy E. Smith of Marion passed away on Monday April 8, 2013. Tracey was born in Marion on May 24, 1965 to the late Gerald P. and Kathern (Adkins) Baldwin.
Tracey Baldwin graduated from high school in Carson City, Nevada. After returning to Marion, she worked at Veterans Affairs Northern Indiana Health Care Systems as a nurses aide while continuing her early childhood development education at Ivy Tech. She also worked as a waitress at Sirloin Stockade. On May 21, 2000 she married Kevin R. Smith. He survives in their Marion home.
In her free time, Tracey most enjoyed music and worked as a DJ for Katmandu. She loved singing, karaoke, dancing, teaching line dancing and motorcycle riding. She was also a member of ABATE motor cycle club. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Tracey E. Smith is also survived by her children: Teresa (Cory) Brown, Swayzee; Gary (Katie) Hyland, Crystal Hyland and Victoria Hyland, all of Marion;
Brothers: Criss (Joanne) Baldwin and Michael Baldwin, both of Dover, Delaware; mother-in-law: Sheila (Doug) Martin, Anderson; father-in-law- Joe (Charlotte) Smith, Marion;lifelong friend, family supporter and caregiver: Stephanie (Joey) Ice, Gas City; and grandchildren: Jayden Brown, Cory Brown, Jr., Carson Brown, Liam Brown, Jermaine Hyland and Alexiana Cox.
Tracey was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald P. and Kathern (Adkins) Baldwin, and her sister Vicky O'Dell.
Tracey will be interred in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion.
