Gussie Ray Woosley, 57, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2003, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 27, 1945, to Raymond and Mary Woosley. He graduated from Kentucky School for the Deaf in 1966 and was a heavy equipment operator for C&W Construction. He was a member of the Fern Creek Deaf Club and Louisville Senior Citizens for the Deaf. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Lou Alice Lemaster Woosley; a son, Kevin Woosley (Melanie); daughters, Cheryl Woosley and Earline Maupin (Charles); his mother, Mary Woosley; brothers, Wayne and Lynn Woosley; sisters, Lois McKinley, Phyllis Wiseman, Elwanda Gullett and Margaret Cochran; six grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; a brother, Bill; a niece, Mary Ann; and his wife's parents, Earl and Cora Lemaster. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at Heady-Radcliffe, LaGrange, with burial in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday.
