Phyllis L. Hopkins, 92, of Athens, Pa., passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Sayre Health Care Center following a period of declining health.

She was born on December 8, 1920 in Sayre, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Lynch.

She is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years Ralph E. Hopkins, Jr. in 2003.

Phyllis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Diane Hopkins of Chestnut Hill, Mass.; grandchildren Peter and Katherine Hopkins of Chestnut Hill, Mass.; and sister Patricia Geiss of Sayre, Pa.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday April 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, Pa., with the Rev. Glenn Mahaffey from Church of the Redeemer officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, Pa.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
