Hazel A. Waugh, 101, of Greenfield, Ill., died Nov. 12, 2007, at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home in Jerseyville, Ill.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Blair Cemetery.

Hazel A Ryan was born July 1, 1906, in Rose Hill to Jesse and Augusta (Mencke) Ryan.

She married Frank Fleming in August 1932, and he died in January 1947.

She married Truman Waugh in Oct. 1952; he died in December 1975.

Mrs. Waugh attended the University of Nebraska and was a Cornhusker booster and season ticket holder all her adult life. She retired from the State of Nebraska, where she worked in the Education Department. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Lincoln, and was a member of many bridge clubs.

Mrs. Waugh is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ralph Longmeyer of Greenfield, with whom she made her home for the past 17 years; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by two half-sisters and two half-brothers.
