Her 2nd marriage to J.B. Williams in 1889 was short lived. He died less than a year later.
She spent a year in La Concha, Sinaloa, Mexico with daughter Marcia on land managed by William Lemke for colonization by Americans. The Mexican revolution forced their return and Salome and Marcia traveled to the Mexico - California border as a temporary move in the hopes of returning. Following Marcia's death in 1918 she returned to Benson county and remained there with her niece, Maud Stevens Dickinson until her death.
