From the Pueblo, Col. Chieftain at the 24th ult. We learn of the death of Mrs. Lydia Albert, relict of the late Abraham B. Albert a former citizen of this county, which occurred in the above city on the 20th ult., aged 88 years and 6 days.
The deceased was born in Adams county. She became the wife of Abraham B. Albert in 1840, and lived in Landisburg, Milford and Liverpool, consecutively. Her husband died in 1871 at the age of 66 years, shortly after which she went to Pueblo and lived with her sons William and John, dying at the former's residence. About two and a half years ago she was stricken with paralysis, since which time she became gradually more enfeebled. Two weeks prior to her death she was seized with a severe attack of pneumonia, from whose effects she was unable to rally, quietly passing away.
She was a woman of many Christian virtues, greatly beloved by a large circle of relatives and friends. She had been closely identified with the Presbyterian church since her residence in Pueblo.
She is survived by the following children: Wm. T and John, of Pueblo, Col.; George, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Kitchell of Fort Collins, Col; Mrs. Coleman, of Moffatt, Col., and Mrs. Lesh, of West Fairview, Pa. The deceased was also an aunt of Judge Jas. W. Shull, of this place, and Messrs John and Mahlon Thatcher, of Pueblo, Col.
