GALVESTON - Velma Ann Pierce, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 1999, at University of Texas Medical Branch.
Mrs. Pierce was born in Rosebud, Texas and spent nearly her
entire life in Galveston. She was a member of the First Baptist
Church.
Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughter Dolores Harris and husband, George, of Galveston, three grandsons, one granddaughter
and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 1999, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the J. Levy Memorial Chapel, 2128 Broadway, Galveston, Texas. Services for Mrs. Pierce will be held on Friday, January 15,1999, at 10:00 a.m. in the J. Levy Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the National Veterans Cemetery in Houston.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
