THURSDAY, JULY 24, 1930

Mary Jemima Chastain prominent resident of Bonanza, passed away at her late residence Wednesday aftrnoon at 2:45, following an illness of several days. She was born in Illinois, April 11, 1845 and aged 85 years, 2 months and 12 days at the time of death. She is survived by four sons, George and John of this city; William of Portland, and Claud of Sacremento; three daughters, Mrs. Etta Kilgore and Mrs. A.T. Langell of Bonanza, and Mrs. Robert Goss of Salem; also 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Matilda Baty residing in Missouri also survives.

Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service to be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Bonanza church, with Rev. Leonard B. Sigle, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Inerment will be made in the family plot, in the Bonanza cemetery.
