He was employed by Fenton Art Glass, was a veteran of U. S. Navy (1954-1958) and was employed by the Salvation Army.
On Aug. 10, 1989, he married Evelyn Hoce who survives with four children, three stepchildren, 27 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one stepdaughter, and first wife, Audrey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (April 3) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Lt. Eric Henry officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Bank Cemetery with full military services. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
