Harmony Joy Foster nee Paul of Sullivan, MO, peaceably passed on to glory on Monday, April 8, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family at age 36 years, 5 months, 17 days. She was born October 22, 1976, in Sullivan, MO.
She was united in marriage to Glen Allen Foster on October 14, 1995 in Harrison, AR and to this union five children were born.
During a Vacation Bible School, Harmony made a profession of faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was baptized by her grandfather, Harry Pryor, on July 8, 1984, into membership of the First Baptist Church of Stanton, MO. After her marriage to Glen, she changed her church membership to the Pea Ridge Pentecostal Church.
On Good Friday, April 14, 2003, while expecting her fourth child, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After her diagnosis, she began a personal journey to model the behavior of a Christian life. Her faith in God and his ability to heal never wavered. She taught great courage, strength, dignity, grace and hope to all who knew her through the life she lived. During this time, she continued to home school her children, coach T-ball, attend the baseball, softball and basketball games of her children, and be the foster mother of more than 50 children. She was a constant source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Her passion was children and she loved to rock a baby. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, and home improvement projects. Her quick-witted sense of humor never allowed anyone around her to take life too seriously.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; sons, Matthew, age 16; Malachi, age 9; Mahlon, age 4; daughters, Michaela, age 18; and Micaiah, age 12; foster-children, Ian and Leighannah Cochran all of the family home; mother, Melody Pryor, mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Norbert and Carol Hebert; two half-brothers, Shaun Paul and Patrick Fritz; grandparents, Harry and Joy Pryor all of Sullivan, MO, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Aarron Pryor and her father-in-law, George Foster.
