Ex-farmer Passes at Home in Goddard

Joseph Mertin Aaron, aged 75, died at his home in Goddard Friday. He was a retired farmer

He was born Jan. 3, 1875, in Kewanee, Ill., and came to Kansas in 1879 from Bowling Green, Ky. One June 13, 1898 he married Effie Maude Halderman. He was a member of the Methodist church and Modern Woodmen of America.

Besides his wife he is survived by five daughters, Miss Lillian Fern Aaron, of Goddard, Mrs. Violet M. Schuerman, Manchester, Mo., Mrs. Donna Lee Barnhart, Winfield, Kan., Mrs. Margaret McIlroy, Japan and Mrs. Betty Young, 3740 Salina; sons, Ted L., of 1903 North Waco, and Lawrence H., Leamon M. and Victor D., all of Goddard and a brother, William, also of Goddard.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Downing mortuary.
