Carol Ann Kirk, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, April 6, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. Carol was born May 14, 1943 in Chambersburg and graduated from North Hagerstown High School and Susquehanna University.

Carol was the loving wife of Peter Kirk for 48 wonderful years and was mother to Lauri Becker-Jones and husband John of Mechanicsburg, Wendy Kirk and fiancé Scott Gerson of Mechanicsburg, and Brad Kirk and wife Missy of Hershey. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and her sister, Nancy Hoffman of Ocean View, DE.

Carol was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church and the West Shore Country Club. Carol's love of her life was her family, and she loved traveling with her husband, many trips to the beach in North Carolina with her family, and was known for her daily shopping sprees. She also enjoyed golfing and had a fondness for dogs, especially her golden retrievers. She will be remembered for her caring nature, her devotion to friends and family, and her concern for those in need.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 12 at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd Street, Camp Hill. Burial will take place privately in Rolling Green Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those who have kept Carol and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
