Robert Morgan Clendenin, 71, of Rockwood, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital at Chester after an illness of several years.

He was born Oct. 20, 1900, in Jackson County, the son of Harvey and Margaret Morgan Clendenln. He was married to Mabel Brown in 1924, at Murphysboro.

Mr. Clendenin was a member of the Carpenters Local in Chester.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Allen Carter of Rockwood, and Leonard Harvey of Chester; daughters, Mrs. Katherine Draves, Mrs. Sue Klindworth, and Mrs. Bernice Cowan, all of Chester, and Mrs. Mary Ann Bunselmeyer of Rockwood; ...

Three sons, two sisters, and a brother preceded him in death.
