She was born March 10, 1908, in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Rosanna Jane Little and Jefferson Davis Ostwalt. She was a life-long member of Bethel Baptist Church and a graduate of Troutman High School and Queens College. Mrs. Morrow was also a seamstress for both Superior Yarn Mill of East Monbo and Troutman Shirt Company and was self-employed many years making draperies.
Mrs. Morrow was the wife of the late Floyd Ernest Morrow and is survived by one daughter, Ann Morrow Sims and husband, Kenneth, of Troutman; five grandchildren, Michael A. (Debbie) Morrow of Upper Marlboro, Md., Philip S. (Lynn) Morrow of Raleigh, N.C., Jane A. Sims of Troutman, Lynn Dale S. (Eddie) Winecoff of Cherryville, and K. Brent (Rose) Sims of Troutman; eight great-grandchildren, Brent M. Morrow of Upper Marlboro, Md., Melissa J. (David Meadows) Bunting of Troutman, Kathryn B. (Trent) Sowers of Statesville, Michael E. (Heather) Winecoff of Boiling Springs, Brandon L. and Kimberly L. Winecoff of Cherryville and Shawna M. and Ashley M. Sims of Troutman; and two great-great-grandchildren, Hunter M. Winecoff of Boiling Springs and David Scott Meadows of Troutman.
Mrs. Morrow was preceded in death by one son, Dupree A. Morrow; five sisters, Nadie O. Troutman, Banna O. Smith, Alda O. Boggs, Maie Ostwalt and Blanche Ostwalt; and three brothers, Glenn, Claude and Cary Ostwalt.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today, March 4, at Troutman Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Statesville with the Rev. Joe Woodward officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lathan Ostwalt, P.D. Ostwalt, Jimmy Bridges, Ronald Rayle, John Perry and Ed Sprinkle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Organ Fund at Bethel Baptist Church, 1162 Monbo Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
